Individual and solution-oriented
During the consultation, we support you in finding individual solutions that are tailored to your strengths and resources under the motto “helping people to help themselves”.
We provide you with access to relevant information, specialist agencies and support programs that can help you. This service is free of charge.
The advice provided by the Baselland Foreigners’ Service (ALD) is aimed at all people who live or work in the canton of Baselland. If you neither live nor work in the canton of Baselland, please contact the responsible office in your canton.
Topics and services:
- We provide information on social insurance, residence and permits, finances, work, education and diploma recognition, housing issues, retirement, etc.
- We mediate in dealing with authorities, institutions and employers and support you in communicating and clarifying possible misunderstandings
- We can help you fill out forms and write letters, objections, applications, etc.
- We provide general advice on integration and migration issues.
We attach great importance to intercultural competence and diversity in our consultations.
Our team is made up of experienced consultants with different cultural backgrounds.
We treat you as equals, with respect and appreciation.
For a brief consultation of approx. 15 minutes (initial contact, information, clarification of concerns and questions or triage), we offer an open consultation (Infothek) from Monday to Thursday. Visit us, give us a call(+41 61 827 99 13) or send us an e-mail(beratungsstelle@ald-bl.ch).

Consultations by appointment only.
For detailed consultations (45 minutes), please make an appointment with us.
We provide direct advice in German, English, Turkish, Kurdish, French, Italian and Spanish.
For other languages, an intercultural interpreter can be organized.
